Fees

In all areas, the search process is based on a flat fee retainer search program. Under this program the client pays a portion of the overall flat fee at the beginning of the search, (20% of the total fee) another at 30 days into the search (20% of the total fee) and another at the signing by a candidate of an offer from the client 20% of the total fee) The final portion is paid on the start date of the successful candidate. (40% of the total fee) In cases of multiple searches this fee structure usually repeats itself for each position to be filled. This mechanics of the multiple search process is open for negotiation.

The client is still able to carry on with their traditional recruiting approach. A unique feature we offer is that of fee transferability. Should a retainer be started for a particular search and the ideal candidate become available without the assistance of Recruiting Services Canada, the fees paid to date for that search are transferred to a new search when such a search is required. In short the initial payments are not lost. The ‘new’ search may be for a different need.

Payment schedule:

• Payment 1: 20% due at the start of the search,
• Payment 2: 20% due 30 days later
• Payment 3: 20% due at signing of an offer
• Final payment: 40% due at start date.

Unlike some traditional recruiting fee structures, the fee is independent of the annual compensation rate determined for the position(s) to be filled.   The Recruiting Services Canada fee structure reflects the equality of effort expended to fill any position and insures that equal effort is made regardless of the position to be filled. There is no advantage for RSC to focus on one category of search over another. This in turn guarantees that the client can anticipate timely results for all searches.

The payment schedule also eliminates very large one time payments and thereby has lesser impact on cash flow for the client.

Should a client have multiple sites and multiple positions available, all will be advertised on the website however the focus of the search may be directed at specific site(s) and position(s) as determined by the client.  Should candidates express interest in other sites or spouses have interest in other positions the focus will shift to that situation for that discussion only and the resumes of interested parties referred to the client. The standard flat fee would apply.  This will often happen when a client has multiple sites but some have more urgent need than others.
