Service & Results

Educators Recruiting Services (ERS) provides specialized recruiting services to clients seeking external support for their ongoing recruiting endeavors currently made through their human resources departments.

ERS also provides support to those seeking a new position (candidates)in a variety of fields in higher education. The purpose of ERS for the client is to provide focused search services to fill positions that have proven difficult to fill through the traditional efforts of the client organization. The services provided are seen as increased support and are in no way intended to be exclusive or undermine current efforts.

The purpose of ERS for candidates is to take the burden out of the search process by doing the work of the search while you, the education professional remain focused on your work. For those about to defend their dissertation and graduate, this support will come at a time when your focus needs to be on preparation for final examination. Please note there are no fees paid by candidates.

Services for clients are provided on time and progress basis. Payments are made at significant milestones in the processes, normally in four phases. If the need is particularly urgent a client may retain ERS on a time elapsed basis, paying a monthly fee until the search is completed. In these cases larger teams work together in the search process.

The goal of ERS in fee structure is one of equality. Unlike traditional recruiting methods where fees are determined by the anticipated income for a given position, fees at ERS are based on payment for effort. The effort made is the same regardless of the position being filled and the fee structure reflects that equality of effort rather than the inequality of income projection. For the client this means that their needs and search are never 'second' to those of another client whose search would have generated a greater fee. You are always a priority.

In order to insure quality of effort all ERS search leaders are limited to working a maximum of five searches. Should demand exceed this limit, more staff is added to the team thereby maintaining a high level of expertise and energy. ERS draws on over five years of demonstrated experience. The ERS fee system has been designed in recognition of the financial pressures Educational organizations face and in an attempt to ease those pressures while providing quality service at reasonable cost. As noted above, recruiting organizations have traditionally determined the value of their services by the compensation of the position(s) to be filled. ERS has chosen to determine the value of its services in their own right. This eliminates any competition for recruiter time and insures that each client receives full value and equal effort for their expenditure.
